| The Department of Radiation Oncology at Rush University Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Radiation Oncologist to join the Rush University Cancer Center . The primary focus of this position is breast cancer; however, the successful candidate will be competent in all areas of radiation oncology. The ideal faculty candidate should be in practice for at least 2-3 years. The predominant criteria for all appointments are a major commitment to research, teaching, and patient satisfaction, excellence in clinical care, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service. Academic productivity and clinical research are expected. Physicians have access to IMRT, IGRT, SRS, SBRT, respiratory motion management, HDR and LDR brachytherapy. Our new, state-of-the-art Cancer Center facility in Chicago will serve as a hub for services throughout our health system. Our core programs are supported by multi-disciplinary teams from medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, research and bioinformatics, clinical operations, and dedicated clinical and support staff, including patient navigators. This structure allows specialists to more easily consult and see patients based on tumor type or molecular and genomic signatures, combining our outstanding multidisciplinary approach with a data infrastructure that supports this patient-centered care. This integration enables us to make a greater commitment to research, dramatically scaling the effectiveness of clinical trials, and enabling translational research that moves bench to bedside, and bedside to bench. |
