The Medical Laboratory Science Division, Department of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine, invites applications for a 12-month non-tenure track position beginning August 1, 2021.

To meet the needs of program growth, primary responsibilities will include teaching in clinical hematology, hemostasis, and phlebotomy courses in a NAACLS accredited Bachelor of Science program.  The successful candidate will participate in curriculum development, interact with clinical training sites, participate in outreach activities, and engage in research or other scholarly activity.  There is also opportunity for administrative responsibilities in the Medical Laboratory Science Division. 

Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must be certified as an MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP)CM, possess a PhD or MS, and have a minimum of 3 years clinical hematology or directly related experience. Preference will be given to applicants who have prior college or clinical teaching experience in an MLS program, demonstrated scholarly productivity, and a record of active participation in professional societies. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required.
