St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is seeking a Neuroradiologist for a faculty position in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging - Neuroimaging Section. The preferred candidate must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree, board certification by the American Board of Radiology and be fellowship trained. A CAQ in neuroradiology is not required but is preferred. Applicants must qualify for medical licensure in the State of Tennessee and must be eligible for a DEA license.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a world-class center for research and treatment of potentially fatal childhood diseases, including cancer and certain blood, genetic, and immunodeficiency disorders. The hospital's mission is to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. St. Jude is dedicated to providing outstanding patient care and to advancing the health of children through biomedical research.

Within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging we offer –

  • state of the art imaging equipment including –
    • 3T and 1.5T MRI machines
    • PET imaging supported by an on-site cyclotron and dual-energy CT imaging
  • a rapidly growing advanced imaging post-processing lab staffed with imaging scientists and dedicated post processing specialists
  • dedicated medical and MRI physicists
  • a departmental team of experienced clinical research assistants
  • a group of nationally and internationally renowned academic radiologists

Additionally, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital offers a plethora of outstanding resources including –

  • a team of biostatisticians dedicated to imaging research
  • a grant management support office
  • a scientific editing service
  • preclinical imaging research opportunities including a small animal PET-CT and ultra-high-field MRI

Clinical work is carried out in an exceptionally well-organized, efficient, collaborative and collegial environment on a single campus. Teleradiology remote services are provided for after hours and weekends, with St. Jude radiologists providing back-up call only on an as needed and rotating basis (approximately 1 week every 2 months).

The preferred candidate will have a strong interest in –

  • advanced diagnostic imaging of tumors of the central nervous system,
  • hematological disorders, or
  • neurodegenerative diseases in children

Academic rank will depend on qualifications and experience with available career tracks as a clinician or a clinician-scientist.

The St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Department of Diagnostic Imaging is seeking faculty-level neuroimaging radiologists interested in pursuing a career performing independent and/or collaborative research at a progressive and unique institution with excellent salary and benefits. Our vision is to establish St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the global leader in the development and use of imaging science to perfect the process of diagnosis, guide and optimize treatment, and improve the quality of life of children with cat...astrophic diseases. Our faculty serve as principal investigators and coinvestigators on protocols with a focus on innovative diagnostic imaging and clinical research in pediatric brain tumors, solid tumors, sickle cell disease, and cancer therapy-related secondary pathologies in an inspiring academic environment. Our efforts are supported by excellent clinical equipment, a Molecular Imaging CORE facility with a cyclotron for production of novel radionuclides, state-of-the-art imaging software, and a post-processing facility staffed with a talented group of PhD imaging scientists, software engineers, and physicists. Pre-clinical support is provided by a well-equipped, on-site animal imaging facility. The department is responsible for providing the patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with state-of-the-art diagnostic assessments and image-guided procedures and therapies. We have a robust history of clinical and research innovation focused on finding cures and saving children with catastrophic diseases and play a fundamental role in setting the standards for imaging care and improving outcomes at St. Jude and beyond, while continuously exploring new opportunities to enhance diagnostic and therapeutic imaging approaches for acute-care patients and survivors.
