Pathology Faculty Position in Department of Medical Education, Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University

The Department of Medical Education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine invites applicants for a Director of Pathology Education at the Assistant/ Associate/Full Professor level. We seek an outstanding educator with a strong record of academic accomplishments broadly in pathology. Applicants must hold a MD or DO with board certification/board eligibility or a PhD in pathology. The applicant is expected to be an expert in general pathology, perhaps with subspecialty expertise. In addition to being primarily responsible for the general pathology teaching of pre-clinical and clinical medical students, the educator will take a leadership role in co-leading 1-2 pre-clinical courses and collaborative role in other leadership groups. Associate Professor level candidates must demonstrate active and sustained productivity as an Assistant Professor in medical education and research, and full professor level candidates must demonstrate active and sustained productivity as an Associate Professor, as well as national recognition. Ideally, the candidate has experience with active and engaged learning methods, as our curriculum is lecture free. Our students learn through Team-Based Learning, Peer Instruction, and Problem-Based Learning and are very successful on USMLE exams and excel as self-directed learners. The Department of Medical Education promotes innovation and scholarship in medical education.
