Is Immediately hiring experienced Certified Phlebotomists for The Hospital of Providence Health System in El Paso, Texas
PAY RATE $19.00 PER HOUR BI WEEKLY
Must be willing to float all facilities
Must work at least 2 shifts per month, 1 weekend shift per month, 1 holiday shift per year
The Certified Phlebotomist is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures on patients of all age groups using a variety of different techniques. Experience performing laboratory testing and hospital bedside testing required. The Certified Phlebotomist must be able to demonstrate skill and knowledge in order to obtain the best possible samples for the testing as required for the care and treatment of the patients. This includes correct patient identification, sample collection, labeling and processing of all samples. S/he must also have the ability to interface with patient, family members, physicians and other professionals as related to their duties in a professional manner.
The Certified Phlebotomist must be able to also process the specimens in order for the Medical Technologist to perform testing in an accurate and timely manner.

Certifications:
BLS -Must be AHA - American Heart Association
National Phlebotomy Certification through ASCP, AAP, ASPT or similar
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a Formal Phlebotomy Training Program or Medical Assisting Program
Experience: 2 years or more
