Flow Cytometry Technologist

BayCare, a leading Florida community-based health care system, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a full-time, days Flow Cytometry Technologist in Tampa, Florida. The Flow Cytometry Technologist performs high complexity testing including Lymphocyte Enumeration, Immunophenotyping of Leukemia and Lymphoma and DNA Ploidy and S-phase analysis. Responsible for all of the technical components in the laboratory including wet lab and processing, acquisition and analysis of blood, bone marrow, tissue, fine needle aspirates and body fluids. Interact with pathologists along with other flow cytometry team members to assist in efficient and consistent operations within the flow cytometry laboratory. Assist in evaluating new instruments, procedures, and perform quality control and preventive maintenance on instrumentation and equipment in the laboratory.

Requires State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (Immunology & Serology), ASCP, A.S. degree and one year of Flow Cytometry experience in Leukemia/Lymphoma Immunophenotyping. B.S. degree preferred.
