Lab Supervisor

The Lab Supervisor is responsible for the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of testing performed during second or third shift and monitors all phases of employee performance. The Lab Supervisor coordinates operations of sections during shift in accordance with procedures and policies established by the chief techs, establishes and monitors cross-training between sections on shift and monitors shift personnel adherence to organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be certified as Medical Technologist, Medical Lab Scientist or Clinical Lab Scientist and have five years experience in a subspecialty field, one year supervisory experience, and familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and use of basic office equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED - Registered/Certified Medical Tech/(ASCP) SH, CLS - Specialist in Hematology or qualification for Hematology exam - CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - American Medical Technologist (AMT) American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)-SH Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) HEW (HEW) National Credentialing Agency (NCA)
