Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certified Cardiovascular Technologist I.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for assisting the physicians in the delivery of safe, age-appropriate patient care during the procedures encompassed in cardiac catheterization. Works collaboratively with the cath lab team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care. Participates in unit/department/institution performance improvement activities that impact patient/family and service outcomes based on professional practice standards. Responds to on-call as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for circulating, monitoring and scrubbing for diagnostic, interventional and structured heart procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
  • Monitors patient and documents priorintrapost procedure including but not limited to hemodynamics, supplies, meds, defibrillation, administering oxygen, emergency medications during procedure following proper ACLS protocol
  • Prepares for cardiac cath procedure ensures for appropriate paperwork, equipment, supplies, and instruments.
  • Answers to on-call and responds to emergent, urgent, andor routine call-ins outside of normal business hours; working with healthcare team to produce optimal results and outcomes
  • Ensures daily for quality control of equipment and escalates issues as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Technical Diploma from Accredited Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory Care program or Radiologic Technologist Program or Graduate from a cardiovascular specialty program. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCVT or RCIS) required within 24 months of employment. Successful completion of ACLS course for Healthcare providers within (6) six months of employment. Strong communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to effectively operate Hemodynamic monitoring systems used in a Cardiac Cath Lab in order to acquire appropriate information. Basic computer skills. Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 1- 2 years experience in didactic cardiac catheterization lab.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
