Assist in Pathology Outreach as an Educator/Quality Specialist at WakeMed

 

As an Educator/Quality Specialist for Pathology Outreach, you will serve as the primary contact for physician practices who send laboratory specimens to WakeMed Laboratories. Outreach for the laboratory is when the specimen comes to the laboratory and not the patient. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing information to customers and recording requests
  • Resolving electronic reporting problems specific to the customer
  • Training and ensuring competency for all Outreach phlebotomists
  • Providing excellent customer service to physician practices

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • No weekend requirements
  • Call requirements: yes

 

Education Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or Equivalent Education Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

 

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 Years of Clinical Laboratory Experience Required

 

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Phlebotomy or American Society for Clinical Pathology Required
