The Histopathology Technician (Entry Level) HT is expected to receive guidance from more experienced staff members and require frequent and direct supervision. Histopathology Technicians at the GS-5 level with annual advancements up to the GS-7 Advanced level, have assignments associated with this position include, retrieving and accessioning surgical, cytology and autopsy specimens; preparing specimens, embedding, staining and mounting as assigned by pathologists and other providers.
