A state-of-the-art full service independent clinical laboratory is recruiting a general supervisor for the multiple shifts in the infectious disease Molecular Lab. This position will provide day-to-day supervision of testing personnel and be responsible for the proper performance of all laboratory procedures and reporting test results.
Selection of the test methodology that is appropriate for the clinical use of the test results.
Initiate, supervise, and conduct R & D of new analytical methods according to company/client.
Keep up to date with new procedures and products on the market.
Requirements:
PhD or Masters Degree with extensive research experience in life sciences research, clinical research, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or other relevant fields with multi-disciplinary training; experience in molecular diagnostics research/method development is highly preferred.
A minimum of two years of laboratory training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing within the specialty of molecular biology. Experience in high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory with qPCR, RT-PCR, and NGS settings are a plus.
MB (ASCP) Certification Highly Preferred
