Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full Time

You Will Be Responsible For:   

  • Leads daily activities of the Mammography and/or X-ray staff.
  • Operates and maintains Imaging equipment in a safe manner.  Adheres to all infection control standards.  Is knowledgeable of personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect from exposure to chemical, radiation and/or biohazard.  Properly wears Dosimeter badge and seeks to minimize radiation exposure. 
  • Utilizes computer system to update exam status, cancel/update orders as needed.  Ensures charges match exam completed. Verifies all exams have been taken to completed status daily.  Assists Supervisor/Manager with entering data into daily labor tracking tool. Attends department meetings consistently and promotes positive dialogue with respect to department objectives.  Listens and is responsible to understand all agenda items.
  • Assists with data collection for KPIs. Understands department performance trends and established standards.  Contributes toward process improvement by serving on PI teams as assigned.  Participates in department Gallup and patient satisfaction initiatives.  Utilizes patient service recovery resources.
  • Obtains pertinent patient information to perform exam. Assures that all equipment is operational in accordance with the MQSA guidelines and calls in Work Orders.
Qualifications
What Will You Need:        
  • 1-3 years in Mammography
  • Valid Florida State License as a General Radiographer
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ARRT (R)
  • ARRT (M) 
Job Summary:

Under supervision performs General Mammography, Dexa Scan and/or X-ray Procedures, in accordance with department protocols. Assures that daily and weekly quality control is performed as stated by MQSA regulations.  Oversees daily workflow and responsibilities of the Mammography technologists.  Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with co-workers, Campus Supervisor/ Manager/ Director, Radiologists, referring Physicians, Mammography Supervisor and Mammography Manager. Meets with customers and partners to assure service levels are maintained (rounding).
