Work Hours/Shift: Fulltime Days


You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Participates in educational sessions to improve skills as appropriate
  • Participates in the collection of quality data
  • Assists clinical staff providers with providing patients with outside resources and materials
  • Assists in identifying and documenting cultural and linguistic needs of patients
  • Assists in identifying and documenting advanced directives
  • Assists clinical staff and providers with obtaining ER and Hospital information
  • Assists in arranging follow up appointments as indicated by clinical staff and providers

Qualifications
What You Will Need:
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program and radiology program preferred.
  • Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (âœAAMAâ) for Certified Medical Assistants
    • American Medical Certification Association (âœAMCAâ) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification
    • American Medical Technologists (âœAMTâ) for Registered Medical Assistant
    • National Association for Health Professionals (âœNAHPâ) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
    • National Center for Competency Testing (âœNCCTâ) for National Certified Medical Assistant
    • National Healthcareer Association (âœNHAâ) for Registered Clinical Medical Assistant
  • Current, valid CPR certification is required.
  • BMO or Radiology Technician required.
  • 1-year medical office experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to float to other AHMG practices, within reason, when patient load, vacation schedules etc. make it necessary.
 
Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant-Radiology Certified provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of the Medical Practice Act and performs basic X-Ray procedures. This individual obtains clinical, financial and demographic patient data and assists in patient education.  Also responsible for assisting providers during the treatment and examination of patients and administers procedures and treatments as ordered by the provider.  Performs front office duties as needed and assigned
