| ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking to hire a Hospital Laboratory Technician (per diem) to join their BURL Outreach Clinical Laboratory. In this role, you may be assigned to provide support to multiple BURL sites. Primary responsibilities include: •Performs phlebotomy on patients of all ages •Prepares specimens for analysis, performs laboratory functions, and assists in coordination of couriers and routes, including follow-ups on service delays •Provides coverage at multiple sites NOTE: •Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed Qualifications•A current, California Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certificate •Minimum 3 years of recent phlebotomy experience performing phlebotomy for a high-volume testing laboratory •High School Diploma •Knowledge of Clinical Lab test names and their abbreviated forms •Ability to work rapidly and accurately with attention to detail •Be an excellent team player •Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments •Skill in using a computer and printer UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
