Offering more than 53 specialties in over 30 locations, our system boasts the second largest hospital in Georgia with The Medical Center in Macon. Our Laboratory is open 24/7 and consists of specialized departments performing 5 million tests per year. Our technical staff includes MDs (Pathologists), PhD (Biochemist), PAs (Pathologist Assistants – Baccalaureate), MTs (Technologists- Baccalaureate), CTs (Cytotechnologists- Baccalaureate), MLTs (Technicians – Associates), HTs (Histotechnicians- Associates). All technical staff have appropriate national registration or licensure. PT (Phlebotomists- ASPT certification). We have Automated Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology and more. - Our Core Lab performs 3.5 million Chemistry and Hematology tests annually.
- Bloodbank processes between 90 – 110 specimens per day and issue over 2200 blood products for transfusion each month.
