The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking an academically-oriented Hematopathologist with to join our large and growing academic practice. A minimum experience of five years and expertise in FISH are highly desirable. The selected candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication skills and collaboration with other pathologists and physicians in other specialties. The candidate is expected to cover the clinical service including bone marrow, lymph node, PB/Body fluid, flow cytometry, molecular studies, and surgical cases related to hematopoietic malignancies. Board certification in AP/CP and Hematopathology is required.

All Surgical and Clinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participate in scholarly activities through research and education and offer a stimulating environment for professional growth and career development. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.
Qualified candidates should have an MD/DO and/or Ph.D. and be American Board of Pathology (ABP) board-certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology (Hematology). An additional expertise in FISH specifically for hematologic malignancies is a required skill. The selected candidate is expected to participate primarily in Hematopathology service with some responsibility in Molecular Pathology. The candidate is expected to have excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and administrative skills along with an interest in educating residents and fellows trainees.
