The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking an academically oriented cytopathologist and surgical pathologist with demonstrated expertise and board certification in cytopathology to join our large and growing academic practice as a Director of Cytopathology. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills and experience in both cytopathology and surgical pathology. Expertise in a surgical pathology subspecialty area (breast, gynecology, pulmonary, etc.) is desirable.

Our clinical pathology laboratory offers an unparalleled, robust and growing test menu. The selected candidate will join a group of 12 surgical pathologists and 11 clinical pathologists in a practice environment that provides an opportunity for professional growth and career development. All Surgical and Clinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participate in scholarly activities through research and education. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.
Qualifications include board certification in Anatomic Pathology, and fellowship training and board certification in Cytopathology.
