Provides accurate and timely laboratory information based on the performance of analytical tests on human body tissues. Correlates and interprets test data. This is done to detect evidence of or prevent disease or impairment and to promote and monitor good health. Monitors quality assurance and maintains laboratory instrumentation including all documentation. Follows established guidelines and protocols to provide requested clinical information to Physicians, nurses, and other relevant health care personnel. Orients and trains new employees. Responsible for managing defined areas or activities of laboratory service. This may include managing testing activities of technical staff and/or support staff and/or managing the quality assurance and certification/accreditation activities required by accrediting agencies and the state and federal government. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe.
