The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs and evaluates complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic and bacteriological analyses. Ensures communication of test results as appropriate.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelors Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Bachelors Biological Science
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP or AMT) or Medical Technologist (ASCP or AMT). Employees who are hired as eligible to sit for the ASCP or AMT certification exam must obtain certification within twelve (12) months of start date in position.
