You Will Be Responsible For:
Performs tests timely and with 99% accuracy, with special attention to high priority areas of the hospital, such as ER, OR, Cath Lab
Performs quality control and monitors results for evidence of problems with high degree of accuracy.
Performs preventative maintenance as required.
Always assays or calibrates new reagents, kits, and other material before put into use. Documents reagents and kits when opened and placed into use.
Maintains orderly and efficient arrangement of equipment and supplies in area worked. Keeps work area clean, neat and well organized. Cleans up after work is done and leaves counter well organized after shift is complete.
Always notifies appropriate supervisory person of problems or questions that may arise in any department.
What You Will Need:
Associates' degree in medical technology or related sciences with state licensure if required or appropriate national certification
Must hold a certification from one of the following Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Medical Technologist), or Medical Technologist (American Associate of Bioanalyst), or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor through AMT
Appropriate state licensure or appropriate national certification if required
Performs work in one or more divisions or areas of the clinical laboratory to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
