Saint Alphonsus Medical Center is looking to hire a Medical Technologist in Ontario, OR! The Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Ontario is a 49-bed, acute care, not-for-profit hospital, serving Ontario and the surrounding communities in eastern Oregon and southwestern Idaho. As a Medical Technologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will perform tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients by utilizing various medical laboratory procedures in the Clinical Laboratory. You will correlate and integrate other patient data when interpreting test results. You will use professional judgment and have an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, scientific principles, quality control, and instrument maintenance as well as recognize problems, identify causes, and determine alternative methods and solutions.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge in all areas of the laboratory and familiarity with applicable clinical laboratory equipment. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of at least one specialty such as Hematology or Chemistry or have considerable knowledge in many sections of the laboratory. Must possess a high degree of precision and accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science preferred.
1 year of medical technology training preferred.
