Our corporate headquarters is in Voorhees, New Jersey. We are currently recruiting for a Molecular Supervisor in our Lab in Oaks PA.
Job Duties include
For day-to-day supervision and/or oversight of departmental personnel engaged in performing routine and specialized technical procedures, including planning laboratory work, evaluating work performed and handling procedural and technical laboratory problems.
.Supervise various personnel functions including, but not limited to interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals. Oversees the orientation of new employees and ensures that they are adequately trained to perform assigned duties. Develops and maintains Clinical Laboratory Scientist on-the-job training for newly hired staff. Assesses the education needs for department staff and makes recommendations for continuing education programs. Ensures that staff is competent to perform assigned tasks.
Design appropriate work schedules for subordinate employees and plan daily work assignments in order to maintain an adequate personnel complement for laboratory efficiency within department budget. Coordinate and approve PTO.
Responsibility for the direct supervision of all high complexity testing. Monitor testing to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained. Ensure that laboratory tests are performed according to department protocols and are reported in a timely manner. Remain accessible for the department either with on site presence or remotely.
Develop and implement departmental quality control programs to ensure reliability of testing procedures, proper function of laboratory equipment and compliance with federal regulations; prepare and maintain applicable records. Ensures that systems are in place to provide test results that are valid and accurate. Maintains adequate quality control measures. Perform daily patient result and quality control reviews and take appropriate corrective action.
Assists Laboratory Management in planning and performing Quality Assurance and Compliance monitoring. Monitor Quality, Safety and Inspection Control practices to assure compliance with internal and external regulations.
Prepare reports reflecting volume of work, procedures utilized and test results; coordinate the preparation of reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Submit and present departmental reports at monthly QA meetings.
Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties; clean and maintain standard laboratory equipment with budgetary guidelines.
