The individual will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide technical expertise in the operation of the Cellular Therapy Laboratory. These includes writing, modifying SOPs, processing including red blood cell and volume reduction, cryopreservation, thawing and infusion of hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC and other cellular therapy products ) for transplantation, guidance to other technologists, performing routine patient/sample tests, proficiency tests, quality control, preventative maintenance, validation studies, and review of processing records. Documenting deviations and occurrences and notifying team. Identifies and implements performance improvements opportunities.
Bachelor s Degree in Medical Technology or related field
3 years experience in a stem cell or cellular therapy laboratory required. Ph.D. or Master s degree in a biological science discipline with 0-3 years of post-doctoral experience in an academic or pharmaceutical setting preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interpret, summarize, and present results.
May be required to work off hours, weekends, holidays, and other shifts. On-call rotation required.
