The Senior Administrative Director, Laboratory Operations, provides financial leadership and quality, safety, and technology oversight for hospital clinical laboratories system-wide and operational oversight of the clinical laboratories at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Directs and administers programs, strategies, and initiatives designed to enhance and support the operations of the clinical laboratories to ensure high quality, efficient and cost-effective operations. This position partners with the Chair, Vice Chairs, Senior Vice President, and other senior management and staff in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures, programs, and initiatives that support the mission, growth and success of the institution.
System-Wide Roles & Responsibilities:
Develops and implements strategic plans consistent with the organization’s goals that contribute toward market growth, revenue enhancement, and cost containment while maximizing productivity.
Conducts financial planning and analysis that provides senior management with a forecast of the labs revenue, operating performance, and trends and develops and introduces strategies for improvement.
Supports the clinical and administrative laboratory directors in all facilities by providing shared technology, quality and safety standards, and revenue cycle management.
Assists in the development, maintenance, and reconciliation of departmental budgets and consolidation of financial reporting for the senior leadership.
Mount Sinai Hospital Clinical Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining licensure/accreditation for the clinical laboratories and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines established by NYSDOH, AABB, CAP, FDA, ASH, CMS and other regulatory agencies.
Assesses the laboratories for efficient practices, and appropriate use of resources, ensuring effective use of services and overtime.
Ensures operations are in compliance with the Mount Sinai Health System’s quality and safety standards for clinical laboratories.
Ensures appropriate staffing of clinical laboratories in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Ensures the selection, training and development of competent management and supervisory staff for the clinical laboratories.
Ensures compliance with all Mount Sinai Health System policies and procedures.

Master’s Degree in Business, Finance required
10 years of administrative management experience in a large complex clinical laboratory including strong experience with responsibility for financial and revenue cycle operations and assisting oversite of laboratory information systems.
Licensing and Certification Requirements:
New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required
Microsoft Office – Advanced
