Summary: Assists the Director/Manager in the technical management and daily operations of satellite laboratory. Serves as a resource person for team members. Primary duties include ensuring compliance with policies/procedures and regulatory requirements, problem solving, teaching/training, and communication. Work together with laboratory management and the department specific technical leads so that satellite laboratory uses the same standards/procedures as main campus laboratory. Responsibilities: Responsible for a satellite laboratory operations, supply ordering, and assists with scheduling as a working lead. Perform all routine and complex analysis in assigned areas, applying knowledge of techniques, principles, quality control, theory and instrumentation. Apply knowledge of test interdependency and physiological conditions affecting test results, critical result limits, normal ranges and/or toxic or therapeutic ranges, to ensure accuracy. Recognize, troubleshoot and initiate corrective action for problems in a timely manner. Act in the best interest of patient care. Cross trained in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, blood bank, urines, and stat microbiology/serology. Other duties as assigned by director.

ASCP-MEDTECH - MLT OR MT

Minimum 3 years experience in related field
Able to communicate effectively, pleasantly, cooperatively, and discretely with patients, physicians, team members, and the general public.
Able to work under pressure and maintain patient confidentiality.
ASCP certified Medical Technologist or military equivalent.
Education - Essential:
Associates Degree in related field
