Salary Range: PAIII $2720.00 to $5854.40 Bi-weekly | PA IV $6375.00 to $14541.67 Monthly

The Pathology Assistant III | IV will perform Surgical Pathology Grossing Room and Frozen Section Room duties, including accessioning, gross examinations, photographing specimens and performing special procedures.
This is a dual posting for a PA III | PA IV; selected candidate will be hired depending on qualifications.
Must have completed an accredited training program for Pathologist Assistant and passed the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA) examination hosted by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
Possess a valid certification as a Pathologists' Assistant PA (ASCP). The PA (ASCP) certification must be acquired within 6-months of hire and renewed as required.
Proven dexterity and attention to detail in cutting frozen and fresh sections/tissues.
Demonstrated accuracy at all times in the recording of data, information and the maintenance of records, files, and requisitions.
Knowledge of required safety protocols when working with fresh human tissue, blood and chemicals.
Knowledge of, or ability to, prepare touch preps and staining procedures for frozen sections.
Ability to differentiate routine from special study requisitions (ER/PR, HLA lab, other send outs).
Ability to understand and accurately follow research protocols and bone marrow protocols as directed.
**Pathology Assistant IV
Extensive knowledge of gross room operations, different specimen types and specimen handling/processing techniques in a surgical pathology lab.
