The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a candidate for an Associate or Full Professor position in the clinician educator track.
We are seeking an outstanding Clinical Investigator who is interested in utilizing the robust research environment in the Department of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute to direct clinical research activities in the Pulmonary Medicine division. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary/start-up package and be expected to lead a creative, independent program of research as well as mentor junior investigators and support clinical research efforts in the division.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students at the Perelman School of Medicine as well as residents and fellows at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Teaching may take place in a variety of settings such as lecturing, small group, clinical and/or didactic sessions.
Clinical responsibilities may include inpatient and/or outpatient clinical services in the candidate's sub-specialty, including supervision of residents and fellows (if applicable).
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include an outstanding record of research productivity.
Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates with clinical activities must be Board certified/eligible in their sub-specialty.
