Performs and interprets routine diagnostic assays on blood and body fluids. Performs all duties related to the preparation, identification, and testing of specimens. Performs all related documentation tasks. May be required to obtain patient blood samples by venipuncture, or capillary puncture using aseptic techniques and collection skills appropriate to the age and level of difficulty of the patient. Participates in evaluating, documenting and implementing technical assays. Provides technical guidance to non-certified personnel.
Position requirements: ASCP MT, MLT, CLS, CLT or eligible, contingent upon successful completion of exam within six (6) months of eligibility. Proficiency in all sections Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Bank experience preferred.
Scheduling: Days/Flexible to coverage on all shifts preferred. Weekend and Holiday rotations required.
Per diem rate: $28.56/hour
