Delivery of healthcare is changing, and clinical laboratory work is changing with it. Automation, software enabled analytics, advanced diagnostics techniques all create a greater emphasis on data analytics as an essential skillset for laboratory practitioners.
This role is for a Certified Laboratory Technologist (CLT) that desires to learn laboratory data analytics for LCMS/MS instrumentation. Acutis will provide hands-on training. Work entails, but is not limited to, certifying data (e.g., verify retention time windows, update qualifier ratios, review chromatograms, analyze for carryover) and maintenance of LCMS/MS instrumentation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Batch Creation/Direct Observation of routine patient test performance
Ability to create and name a batch appropriately
Ability to choose the correct data analysis method using a data analysis software
Direct Observations of routine patient test performance
Ability to evaluate chromatographic peaks, peak shape, peak retention times, qualifier ratios, control target values, patient results.
Use clinical judgement and refers to bench excerpts for toxicological drug information.
Understands how to manually and digitally fill out a certification worksheet for every batch analyzed.
Notes any unusual patient results and discusses with supervisor.
Analyze every batch by analyte.
Enforce compliance of all policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and best practices for: CLIA, safety, environmental, laboratory, hazardous materials, equipment, accident reporting and security.
Collaborate with co-workers, managers and other supervisors to solve work-related problems within or between departments; answering and resolving questions/issues daily.
Personal accountability for attendance, productivity, training, and incidents.
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Pharmacology or a related science.
