West Physics has an immediate need for a Medical Imaging Specialist with a solid work experience in MRI clinical imaging. The position of Medical Imaging Specialist is a full-time position based in Chicago, IL. The Medical Imaging Specialist will provide MRI technical and clinical protocol support to West Physics’ clientele by serving as an MRI expert for assisting in accrediting testing, providing education to client’s staff for procedure/exam optimization and protocol development and documentation for MRI services. Required skill sets for this position include, but are not limited to: excellent interpersonal skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, the ability to work independently as well as part of a project team, the ability to exercise a high degree of responsibility and autonomy (once trained) and the ability to handle sensitive information in a professional and protective manner. Perform ACR MRI clinical and phantom testing on a wide spectrum of MRI manufacturer systems and field strengths.
Conduct & manage MRI clinical and Quality Control education sessions to clients and
Manage the ACR application and accreditation process for MR, CT, NM & PET modalities.
Process and maintain confidential reports and documents; planning and protecting the security of information, data and files for West Physics clientele.
Respond to telephone calls, emails, file maintenance, data entry and assisting with technical responsibilities as needed.
Provide aide & support to Senior physicists staff as needed.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Associate's degree required or certificate in radiologic technology permissible in candidates with more extensive professional clinical imaging experience.
Medical Radiographer background with a minimum of 4 years MRI clinical experience required
AART or RMRIT Certification in MRI.
Prior experience operating multiple MRI manufacturer systems and range of magnetic field strengths.
Prior experience performing and managing ACR MRI application and accreditation process.
Candidate should be comfortable in a physician and clinical/patient care environment.
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to travel by air.
Ability to travel 75% of time. (Local and out of state.)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, required.

8 years MRI clinical experience preferred.
In addition to MRI, experience or certification in CT or NM preferred.
Management/supervisory experience a plus teaching experience in a clinical environment preferred.
Experience and proficient performing advanced neuro, cardiac, and breast applications utilizing a mechanical contrast power injector preferred.
Prior experience performing and managing ACR CT, NM, PET application and accreditation process.
Ability to operate Apple computer with Windows software.
