Manager, Anatomical Pathology

Tower Health – Reading Hospital

West Reading, Pennsylvania

Be inspired to improve patient outcomes, and join the exceptional team at Reading Hospital. The Manager, Anatomic Pathology is responsible for the overall operational activities associated with Reading Hospital's Histopathology and Cytopathology Services, including daily management of specimen preparation and testing associated with tissue and body fluids submitted for diagnostic testing under those disciplines. Responsibilities include managing Pathology Assistants’ daily activities and assigned functions; coaching, mentoring and developing direct and indirect reports; and assisting the Lab Administrative Director with developing departmental goals, objectives, and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • 6 years of relevant laboratory experience in a clinical setting
  • 2-5 years of experience directly managing Laboratory Histology and/or Cytology operations strongly preferred
  • 2 or more years of demonstrated supervisory-level experience strongly preferred
  • Must meet CLIA regulations for technical supervisor
  • LEAN process improvement experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
