Health Sciences Clinical Professor and Laboratory Director in Immunogenetics and Histocompatibility

The UCLA Immunogenetics Center in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) seeks applicants for an Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor and Laboratory Director. The UCLA Immunogenetics Center has a long-standing history of clinical innovation and research in the fields of Immunogenetics and Transplant Immunology. The candidate should be an M.D., Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. with at least 4 years of experience in human Histocompatibility testing and Immunogenetics and American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics certified or board eligible. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing test development, test performance, test interpretation and quality assurance, reviewing clinical cases, providing clinical consultation, and directing special projects. The candidate will share responsibility for training residents and fellows in the subspecialty of Immunogenetics and Transplantation Immunology. The candidate is expected to contribute to the clinical research activities of the Immunogenetics Center. Faculty appointment rank and salary will be commensurate with education, training and experience.We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.
