The Director of Laboratory Services is under the general direction of the VP/CNO/Patient Care Services, Medical Director, and Pathologist, and is responsible for the administration and technical activities of the clinical laboratory.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent as recognized by an approved government accreditation association.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
Registration by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or a nationally recognized registry of medical technology as a laboratory technologist
Five years’ experience as a Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory setting.
Strong Human Resources skill set for managing and leading within the Laboratory
Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form required.
An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
Required to have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds.
Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.
Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
Five years’ experience as a Laboratory Director/Administrator preferred.
