Northwell Health and NYC Health + Hospitals are opening a BRAND NEW state-of-the-art, 36,000-square foot, $47.7 million shared, centralized laboratory in Queens, which will enhance quality and patient service while reducing costs for both health systems and their hospitals. This new facility will be the largest, nonprofit, hospital-operated lab network in the nation and will be processing over 50 million tests annually.
As a Medical Technologist- Microbiology at our BRAND NEW Microbiology Lab, you will perform clinical laboratory procedures, examinations and other tests, under established hospital protocols. Our Medical Technologists maintain equipment and records and perform quality assurance activities related to examination performance, which require independent judgment and responsibility.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or related degree, preferred.
Current certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), preferred.
Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, required.
Minimum of one (1) year work experience and/or training specific to the work being done in the area noted above preferred.
