The Laboratory Technologist Lead will be responsible for night shift oversight and performing clinical laboratory testing in a fast-paced academic medical center. The Laboratory provides services to all aspects of this healthcare enterprise.
This position will be instrumental in maintaining a quality of service based on accuracy and timely result reporting. This position will be located in the Good Samaritan Laboratory, and testing will include, but is not limited to, blood bank, blood gas, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, and urinalysis.
The CAP-Accredited Laboratory at the University of Kentucky showcases the use of state-of-the-art instrumentation and technology. In addition, this diverse department provides services to all aspects of the University of Kentucky's Level I trauma center and throughout the healthcare enterprise, including KY Children's Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Markey Cancer Center.
Minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor's degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science highly desired.
