The Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Division of the Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Laboratory Medicine at the West Virginia University School of Medicine has an immediate opening for a 12-month faculty position.
The major responsibility of this position is teaching in the undergraduate Medical Laboratory Science program. Other responsibilities include participating in university/college/departmental governance and service, student advising and recruiting, and scholarly activity.
The MLS Division consists of the NAACLS-accredited Clinical Laboratory Science Program, the Histotechnology Program, and the Pathologists’ Assistant Program.
West Virginia University is located in Morgantown, which provides a spectacular area in which to live with abundant cultural and outdoor recreational activities available.
Educational requirements include a minimum of a Master's degree in MLS or a field related to the current position (eg, microbiology, biology, chemistry, education, etc.). Certification by the ASCP is required. The successful candidate should have college/university teaching experience and relevant work experience.
