As a Pathology Technician, you will perform duties such as:
Perform daily receipt of Anatomic Pathology surgical specimens in the laboratory.
Perform shipping procedures in accordance with laboratory standard operating procedures when necessary.-
Prepare slides to display cellular contents of a variety of samples of specimens using care and skill not to rupture or otherwise destroy cells.
Print labels and place labels on the slides ensuring accurate cross-checking of identification data to prevent mislabeling of slides shipped out to reference laboratory.
Serve as an assistant in the morgue, with administrative and technical responsibilities for the efficient operation of the autopsy suite.
Perform quality control checks (e.g., temperature checks, etc.) on equipment within the work area and records results as instructed
