As the Manager of the Blood Bank at Loyola University Medical Center, you will be responsible for the ongoing operations of the transfusion service, apheresis unit and cancer center phlebotomy including the allocation of financial and human resources and the implementation and maintenance of the section’s quality improvement program. This role promotes Loyola’s MAGIS values and supports various health system-sponsored programs. In addition, you’ll work closely with the laboratory Medical Director in the implementation of new policies, procedures and equipment that support hospital and ambulatory operations.
Position Requirements: Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred Minimum Experience: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience required, Managerial Experience: 5+ years Licensure/Certifications: Required: Certified Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, laboratory discipline specific or specialty certificate (ASCP or AMT)
