Our progressive pathology practice in Springfield, Oregon owns its laboratory and is looking for a motivated cytotechnologist to join the team! We are CAP accredited and utilize the Hologic equipment line, including ThinPrep gyn and non-gyn cytopathology, automated screening and related molecular testing.
The tech will:
Screen slides daily, using the documented reporting format and workflow when entering results in computer
Verify results of all negative GYN cases in computer
Flag abnormal cells and refers each case to pathologist
Contribute to department process documentation
Maintain relevant continuing medical education
The position is new to our growing organization and is available immediately. You must be certified by ASCP, with at least one year’s experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable with technology, has the ability to independently problem-solve while functioning well with cytology and other workplace teams. The position in full-time, Monday – Friday.
