Position: The School of Clinical Sciences at Northern Michigan University invites applications for an Instructor/Coordinator of the Clinical Laboratory Technician to Clinical Laboratory Sciences BS degree completion program. This is a two-year term position at the rank of Instructor to begin in August of 2017. This is a campus-based position.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for leadership in the newly developed online Medical Laboratory Technician to Medical Laboratory Science BS degree completion program. This position coordinates the administrative functions of the program to include advertisement, recruitment, applicant review, advisement, collaboration with clinical affiliates, and university activities. The position also teaches clinical laboratory courses (online, classroom, and laboratory) and participates in curriculum development.
Minimum Qualifications: MS Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or closely related field, American Society of Clinical Pathology Technologist/Scientist certification or equivalent, three years hands on testing experience in an accredited medical diagnostic laboratory in the last 10 years.

Additional Desirable Qualifications: ASCP MLS certification; curriculum development (traditional and online) for undergraduate MLS education; experience in a NAACLS approved program; three years of teaching experience; University teaching experience; online teaching experience; molecular diagnostics.
