Provides direct patient care: The physician is responsible for providing direct patient care including but not limited to the following: consultations, assessment/diagnosis, rehabilitation programs, and regenerative medicine injection procedures that include Prolotherapy, PRP, stem cell, ultrasound, and provides appropriate consultation to other Caring Medical providers and health care practitioners; provides weekday and weekend call coverage as scheduled; follows up on laboratory results, consultations, and radiological or pathological studies, as needed.
Ensures compliance with state regulations and promotes appropriate utilization of services. Possession of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Doctor of Medicine degree (MD); completion of accredited residency in related field; possess a valid unrestricted medical license and DEA license as a physician or surgeon issued by the State of Illinois; possess current ACLS certification.
Knowledge and continued learning of advanced principles and practices of regenerative medicine and Prolotherapy, medical diagnosis, and treatment; ultrasound examination and guidance; American Medical Association ethics and standards; pharmacology, including laws regarding informed consent, dosage ranges, drug incompatibilities, and side effects; ICD-10 and CPT coding and billing principles; clinical supervisory principles and practices; peer review process; development of medical policies, procedures, and protocols; principles and practices of training; standard English grammar and usage.
Ability to learn and apply principles of staff supervision and performance evaluation; assess symptoms and make an accurate diagnosis; prescribe and provide regenerative medicine treatments appropriate to the patient's condition and situation; communicate effectively in both oral and written formats; establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, the public, other community providers; interact with and effectively treat patients from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Be compassionate and approachable with patients and staff; responsible and trustworthy; of highest moral character; respect for patient confidentiality; proven experience as a physician; possess ability to provide “5-star” Caring Medical service to patients; possess ability to address “whole patient” concerns, including physical, nutritional, emotional, and spiritual for overall health and wellness.
