The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Surgical Pathology with a focus on Gastrointestinal Tract Pathology.
Candidates with fellowship training in GI pathology will be highly considered. Responsibilities include sign out and frozen section coverage at Pennsylvania Hospital. Participation in a broad spectrum of intra and inter departmental teaching activities including pathology house-staff and fellows, and medical student teaching is expected.
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research and clinical care. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (and/or AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology and an unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility are requisites.
