The Division of Laboratory Medicine, Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is recruiting a pathologist at the Assistant Professor level with primary service responsibility in Transfusion Medicine. The position will be tenure earning. The successful candidate must be BC/BE in CP or AP/CP and in Transfusion Medicine and have an M.D. or combined M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful candidate will provide transfusion coverage for all services of this 1,200 bed hospital, including a very active therapeutic apheresis program. The candidate will be expected to develop an independent program of clinical and/or basic research and to participate in our educational programs.
